The farmers’ movement is not the farmer VS Modi government, but Rahul VS Amarinder

The Congress party seems to have decided to clean Amarinder Singh’s power. Despite being a Congressman himself, the situation is getting worse for Captain Amarinder Singh at this time. While the Congress wants to continue promoting the ‘Kisan Andolan’ full of anarchists despite being on full backfoot, the Punjab Congress under the leadership of Amarinder Singh wants to find a solution through dialogue keeping the support of the protesting government. .

This is the first time since 2017 that there is clearly a confrontation between Captain Amarinder Singh and Rahul Gandhi. When the assembly elections were due in 2017, there was a clash between the Congress and Amarinder Singh as the national unit of the Congress did not want Amarinder Singh to become the CM candidate. Amarinder Singh then forced the Congress high command to change his decision, but now this battle will not be so easy for him.

Now Rahul Gandhi has his major reason to crush Amarinder Singh’s dominance. Sir, now the Congress president can soon be again, and he does not want the current ‘Kisan movement’ to end without any result. On the other hand, Amarinder Singh considers this movement harmful to the state government and the Congress [which is also the reality] and they want to end it as soon as possible.

But for both, why is there so much tension? Actually, Rahul Gandhi wants to set the country on fire once again on the lines of Shaheen Bagh for his personal gain, but Amarinder Singh does not agree with this dogmatic thinking, as it is causing tremendous damage to the economy of Punjab itself. Apart from this, Amarinder Singh is also angry with the provocative statements of Rahul Gandhi’s friend and Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, where he also threatened to ‘lay the dead’ if the demands were not met.

It is now clear from this tension that there was never a matter of the rights of the farmers, because if it had happened then when this movement would have ended, and talking to the government, the ‘farmers’ would have resumed their work. ‘Kisan agitation’ is actually a fight between Rahul Gandhi and Amarinder Singh, in which Rahul Gandhi wants to make his upper hand somehow.
