APP, Congress and Akali Dal riots over elections in Punjab, Mohra became farmers, Delhi held hostage

In Punjab, a riot has started between the APP, Congress and the Akali Dal to hold sway. Although the assembly elections in Punjab are due in 2022, but in this riot, the three parties have started putting their own bets and punches. In this, their political interests are being taken care of by not defeating the farmers. But Delhi has to bear the brunt of this, as it has become completely hostage to the agitating farmers.

Leaders of these three parties believe that whichever party will win the farmers, the key to the elections in the upcoming Punjab assembly elections will be with them. There is 1 year left in this election and with the help of farmers gathering, these parties have got a good opportunity to shine their politics. While Congress-inspired farmers have come from Punjab and frozen on the Delhi border, the Kejriwal government of Delhi is giving all the facilities to the protesters in Burari grounds.

On 29 November 2020, the leaders held a press conference on this issue one after the other and all attacked the Modi government. Arvind Kejriwal has engaged his party workers in the service of protesters. Langer arrangements and medical facilities are being provided. The Water Board of Delhi Government has provided water tankers to the agitators.

Kejriwal wants to leave Delhi and become the Chief Minister of Punjab, this ambition has been discussed. Encouraged by the way the party got more than 24 percent of the vote share in the state in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Punjab is now dreaming of SAA. Therefore, she does not want to let this opportunity come out of her hands. The way Shaheen Bagh was used in Delhi for his victory, similarly Kejriwal wants to please the farmers of Punjab by making Delhi hostage.

On the other hand, the Akali Dal has also been out of the Union Cabinet and NDA in support of the farmers. Akali Dal leaders are constantly visiting the Singhu border and meeting the needs of the protesters. The Akali Dal is the only member of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the protestors are being helped through the gurdwaras.

The national leadership of the ruling Congress in Punjab continues to attack the central government over the Farmers Act. At the same time, the leaders of the party’s Delhi unit are also coming forward to help the protesters at their level. The leaders of the Youth Congress have visited the Singhu and Tikri borders to provide food, water and medicines to the farmers. Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are active on social media and are constantly tweeting while celebrating holidays. In the last five years, the Congress government of Punjab has failed, so the Congress is looking for life in the farmer movement.

Haryana’s strongman and Home Minister Anil Vij has described the Congress’s hand behind this movement. He questioned that this is how the farmer has come from the only state of Punjab in the country, farmers of any other state did not reach this movement like this? This farmers’ movement is the politics of Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. He says that there are elections in Punjab next year and it seems that the Chief Minister of Punjab has sent farmers by instigating them.

To keep pressure on the central government by taking Dalli hostage, all the routes coming towards Delhi are being closed. On the one hand, while farmers of Haryana and Punjab are trapped on the Singhu and Tikri border of Delhi, on the other side, on the UP border also, farmers have been camping in the number of thousands under the leadership of Indian Farmers Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait. Even on the Noida border, farmers have sat on a road jammed dharna. Passengers heading to Delhi from other states are facing problems due to blockade.
