Article: Increased Dissatisfaction In Congress, Digvijay Said- Rahul Used To Control The Party From Behind The Scenes

27 August 2020

Rahul Gandhi had said after stating as Congress President that during an interview given in the US that he was without a President, he said that he (Rahul Gandhi) did not need to become Congress President to strengthen the Congress.

It is worth mentioning here that I have expressed in many of my editorials that the manner in which Sonia Gandhi ruled from backdoor during the UPA regime, Rahul Gandhi also wants to run the Congress from the bank door because he has realized that Now their domination within the Congress has ended.

I have strengthened the above conclusion by Digvijay Singh with his statement today and on 26 March 2013.

: There does not seem to be any pause in the Congress party about the post of president. The displeasure of senior Congress leaders has already been seen, now a new war has started with the statement of the party’s Rajya Sabha MP and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh.

Talking to a news channel, Digvijay Singh said that the discontent seen in the leaders today is not one day. This dissatisfaction started when Rahul Gandhi stepped down from the post of president and Sonia Gandhi was chosen as the interim president. Digvijay Singh said that Rahul Gandhi had left the post of the party president, but he remained in control of the party. Evidence of this is found in the appointment of party officials.

Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh said that even though Rahul Gandhi had stepped down as the Speaker, he had control over the party. He used to control everything from behind the curtain. This led to increased discontent among senior leaders. Referring to the Rajya Sabha elections, he said that Rahul Gandhi agreed to the nomination of Rajiv Satava in place of Mukul Banani and KC Venugopal. This increased further resentment in the party.

Differences between party leaders

Senior Congress leader PC Chacko said that those who wrote to Sonia Gandhi include those who are against Rahul Gandhi becoming president. Former Delhi Congress in-charge Chacko said that the letter should not have leaked to the media.

He said that Rahul Gandhi is the right candidate for the post of Congress President. It is difficult for Sonia Gandhi to continue as president due to poor health. Some people do not like the way Rahul Gandhi works, but he is the only person who can stand against Modi. But unfortunately this is not happening. He said that I think those who write the picture include those people who do not want to see Rahul Gandhi in the post of President.

Digvijay Singh told PM weak on the pretext of two centers of power

26 Ruddham 2013

According to the news published on 26 March 2013 in Jagran:

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, who wanted to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister’s chair, again revealed his mind in a way on Monday. He said that in the current UPA

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, who wanted to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister’s chair, again revealed his mind in a way on Monday.

He said that the use of two centers of power in the current UPA did not prove effective. His reference was to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan. Digvijay, while speaking his heart very clearly, advised Rahul Gandhi that if the party gets majority in the next general election, then he (Rahul) should not nominate anyone else for the post of Prime Minister. He clearly said that Rahul Gandhi should become Prime Minister himself if he gets majority.

During a conversation with a news channel, the Congress leader revealed his above wishes. He, however, clarified that Sonia Gandhi as party president has never interfered in the functioning of the Manmohan government. But the Congress General Secretary did not fail to say that the two-center formula of power did not prove successful. Personally, Digvijay, personally I believe that this model did not work properly. There should not be two centers of power. In my opinion, whoever is the Prime Minister can do the right thing. When asked if Rahul Gandhi will also follow in his mother’s footsteps after the 2014 general election. Diggi Raja said on this, I feel that if Congress or its alliance gets majority then Rahul
